Donald Hoebbel

Donald Allen Hoebbel, born April 18, 1929, in Louisville, Kentucky, to parents Albert Hoebbel and Susan (Pattison) Hoebbel passed peacefully on January 27, 2018 at the Hammond Care Center in Hammond, Wisconsin surrounded by loving family.

Donald was an avid reader and model train hobbyist who was blessed with a loving wife of sixty years. Donald was also able to realize his most ardent dream: living on a lake in northwest Wisconsin for over thirty years. He may not have been able to find the time to fish as often as he would have liked, but he woke to an amazing view every one of those mornings!

Donald is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Campbell) Hoebbel; children Donald B. Hoebbel and his wife, Jill (Duren) Hoebbel and their daughter, Robin Hoebbel of Watertown, Wisconsin; his daughter Karen (Hoebbel) Johnson and her husband, Marc Johnson and their daughters, Amy and Rebecca Johnson, all of California; and son Thomas Hoebbel and his wife, Kathy (Allemann) Hoebbel and their sons Eric, Daniel and Andrew Hoebbel, all of Oakdale, Minnesota, sister Carolyn (Hoebbel) Carlin and her husband Lyn Carlin Jr, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother James Hoebbel, and sister-in-law Patricia Campbell

The funeral will be held at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, WI. on Thursday February 1 at 11:00 A.M. with the visitation an hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held in Cincinnati, OH. at a time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to: Village Church of Baldwin.
