Doris C. Hollerud

Doris Corrine Hollerud, age 93, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Hudson.

Doris was born on January 17, 1925 in Duluth, MN, to parents Albert and Karin (Westman) Anderson. She grew up in Hudson, and graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, MN. She was united in marriage to E. Dennis Hollerud on August 29, 1953 at Mission Covenant Church in Hudson. The couple were blessed with five children: Kay, Susan, Barbara, James and Janice. Doris enjoyed raising her children and worked as a bookkeeper for Hudson Products. Doris and Dennis were members of Elim Covenant Church in St. Paul, and later attended Faith Community Church in Hudson. Doris loved to be surrounded by her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed puzzles, playing board games, and camping trips.

Doris is survived by her children, Kay (Russ) Falstad of Spooner, Susan (Mike) Zustiak of Blaine MN, Barbara Hollerud of Hudson, James (Lulu) Hollerud of St. Paul MN, and Janice (Carl) Nilssen of Clear Lake; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchild; brother, Donald (Phyllis) Anderson of Stillwater MN; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; her parents; and sister, Eleanor Anderson.

A funeral service will be held for Doris at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 29 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment at Willow River Cemetery.
