Dorothy “Dort” A. Ekstrom, age 78, of Hager City, WIDied Monday, May 5, 2014 at the River Falls Area Hospital.Dort was born on January 3, 1936 in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Rochelle (Laughnan) Flynn. She was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. Dort married Quint Ekstrom at St. Francis Catholic Church on April 11, 1959. Together they raised two daughters Dawn and Julie. Dort tended bar at Veiths in Hager City for 31 years. She enjoyed going to casinos, golfing and camping up north at Spooner. Dort is survived by her husband of 55 years Quint. Two daughters: Dawn Ekstrom, Oakdale, MN; Julie Mallon, Hager City, WI. Three grandchildren: Derek, Lucas, and Emily Mallon. Brother, Leon (Kathy) Flynn, and her sister Shirley (Roy) Whipple. Sisters in law; Marlis Flynn and Beverly Westby. Dort is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Wayne and Robert, nephew Tony Flynn and niece Lori Whipple.
