Dorothy Mae Dennis

Dorothy Mae Dennis, age 93 of River Falls, WI died January 16, 2016 at Comforts of Home in River Falls. She was born September 23, 1922 in River Falls, WI to Emil and Clara (Matzek) Beskar. Before retirement she worked as a bookkeeper for Great Plains Supply Company.

Dorothy Mae loved playing cards, watching old movies and listening to big band music. She was an avid crafter; making quilts, afghans and dish towels. She and her son, Rick had a shared love for antique cars. Dorothy Mae had a great sense of humor and a love of life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Clara Beskar.

Dorothy Mae is survived by her son, Rick of River Falls; first cousins, Marlys (Robert) Smith of River Falls, Lynn Johnson of River Falls, Betty (Max) Merriman of River Falls, Don (Leona) Matzek of River Falls, Ralph Matzek of Grange Hall, Tom Johnson of River Falls, Kathleen Johnson of River Falls and LeRoy Tobias of Prescott; and other extended family.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am, Wednesday, 1/20/2016, at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, with visitation starting at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, River Falls.
