Doug left on his last road trip and was sent off in the arms of his wife Laurie and children ("the kids") Gwen and Paul.
Doug was a graduate of Hudson High and stayed in Hudson to live out his life. He was an autobody instructor at St. Paul College for 17 years.
He was a member of the MSRA, River City Street Rods, Northern Lights Car Club, and St. John's #1 Masonic Lodge of Stillwater.
His interests were restoring cars, picking the perfect paint color, playing cards. drinking a good cup of coffee, and a nice breakfast shared with friends. While Dibbo's was open he could be found there Monday-Friday at the 5 o'clock opening to not miss out on the morning updates.
Doug will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Laurie; his children Gwen (Tom) Lengyel and Paul DeRosier (Emily Johnson); his grandchilden Emmy and Tristan Lengyel; sister Dawn DeRosier; sister-in-law Patti Haag (John Wilkenson), niece Becky Haag; grand-dog Walter.
A special thank you to St. Joe's First Responders that helped with care needs to get him to the hospital the last 3 months.
Visitation 10-11 AM with 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday April 10 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1500 Vine Street, Hudson. Inurnment Willow River Cemetery, Memorials preferred.
