Edward W Metten

Edward W. Metten Age 83 of Baldwin, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. 

Ed was born in Eldorado, IL on September 3, 1943 to Aidan and Helen (Warren) Metten. He spent much of his childhood and adult life in Eldorado, IL where he attended primary school and graduated from Eldorado High School. In 1966, Ed was united in marriage to Pamela Keasler and together, they welcomed their son, Shane, in December of 1971. Ed was very mechanical, he operated and owned a motorcycle sales and repair shop in his hometown of Eldorado, IL. Along with his mother, Helen, and wife Pam, the family also owned two Dairy Queen restaurants. In 1996, Ed and Pam moved to western Wisconsin to be near their son, Shane.

 Ed moved to Baldwin, WI in 2013 after his beloved wife, Pam, passed away. In his freetime, Ed enjoyed spending time listening to music with his son, Shane and enjoyed the outdoors, particularly spending time fishing. Ed was a kind and generous man. He created a lifelong bond with his friends who became family, Lance and Michelle Van Damme and their 4 son's, Jasper, Garen, Silas and Leo. Ed is preceded in death by his wife Pam, his parents, Aidan and Helen (Warren) Metten and older brother, John. He is survived by his son Shane of Woodbury, MN and close family friends, Lance and Michelle Van Damme and their four children. Ed was an amazing story teller and will be greatly missed by all who had an opportunity to know and love him. A private service will be held at a later date.
