Edward V. Lukes

Edward Victor Lukes, age 80 of New Richmond WI, died on Wednesday evening, March 8, 2017 at the Park View Home in Woodville. Ed was born in Tomahawk WI on July 10, 1936 to parents Victor J. and Helen E. (Miller) Lukes. Ed served his country in the United States Army. Ed would be united in marriage to Ann M Otto. Though the marriage would later dissolve, their union would be blessed with two children.

Ed worked many jobs for many years, but loved his time spent working around the farm. Outside of farming, Ed worked at places such as Friday Canning, the Bass Lake Cheese Factory, Basel’s Dairy Farm, Ulrich’s Dairy Farm, Hopkins Cement Works, and in later years, the St. Croix Casino. Ed was a man of faith, who loved and adored time spent with family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and trying his luck at the casino. Ed will be missed by family and friends alike.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Sally (Tom) Hopkins; his son, Vincent (Natalie) Lukes; his grandchildren, Michael, Miranda, Joshua, Ashley, Cayla (Al), Jordan, Connor, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Addyson and Kaileea; and siblings, Marlene, Alice, and Donald. Ed was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon L. Lukes; his parents; siblings Marian, Helen, Victor, Robert, and Clyde; former wife, Ann Otto; and significant other, Mary Frye.

A Memorial Gathering honoring Edward Victor Lukes will be held from 1:00-4:00pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 1650 8th Avenue in Baldwin WI. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
