Edwin Helmer

Edwin Helmer, age 82, of Ellsworth, WI passed away June 5, 2015 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. He was born September 27, 1932 in River Falls, WI to Stirl and Ethel (Johnson) Helmer. He worked for Armors for many years and also operated the lift bridge in Prescott for a number of years.Edwin loved spending his time on the family farm. He was married to Lorraine Huppert and they later divorced.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a close friend Charlie Church.

Edwin is survived by his sister, Lucille Guest of Ellsworth, WI; nieces, Linda (Mike) Roth of Arvada, CO and Lorie Larson of Ellsworth, WI; nephew, Edward Guest (fiancée, Dawn Carsson) of Ellsworth, WI; neighbors and close friends, Dick and Lori Leonard and family, he is also survived by Lorraine Huppert’s children.

Funeral services for Edwin will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 12, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church rural Ellsworth, WI with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.
