Edythe Louise Benedict

Edythe L. Benedict, 100 of Roberts, died, Friday, March 07, 2014 at Baldwin Care Center.She was born on October 25, 1913 in Lignite, ND to Adolf Victor and Ida (Johnston) Bengtson.Edythe married Edmund Benedict Nov. 18, 1935 and they had four children together. She worked at St. Croix Natural Gas Company for many years. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking, dancing, baking, knitting, crocheting and making quilts for all of her grandchildren. Many family members have homemade dolls.She is survived by four children, Virginia (Donald) Schwan of Star Prairie, Carol Becker of Roberts, Sharon Benedict of Woodbury, Ron Benedict of Hammond, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Lillian Christianson, Rosie Paulson, nieces, nephews and other relatives.Edythe is preceded in death by her husband Edmund, son, Kenneth, son in-law, Tom Becker, six siblings, Alan, Augut, Knute, Mable, Jeanette and Linnea. Cashman-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
