Eileen Jean Gulbranson, 84, of Ellsworth, WI passed away peacefully Feb.8 at her home. Eileen was born April 9, 1932 in Ellsworth, WI to Waldemar and Agnes Larson. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1949 and River Falls State Teachers College in 1951 receiving her teaching certificate. She started teaching at Maynard School (rural Ellsworth) for several years then at Spring Valley Schools until retiring in 1991.
She married Walter Gulbranson in 1953 and later divorced.
Eileen was a devoted mother to her children: Lynn Gulbranson, Ken Gulbranson, Dawn (Tim) Falkofske and Dana Gulbranson and a proud grandmother of Adam Falkofske and Andrea Falkofske.
After retiring Eileen enjoyed volunteering at the VA Hospital ,the Pierce County Historical Society and delivering meals on wheels. She was a lifetime member of American Legion Auxiliary and a member of English Lutheran Church where she was a member of the choir for many years. She was also a member of Wisconsin Retired Educators and Romerikelag, a Norwegian heritage organization. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, visiting her grandchildren and children in Texas and researching her ancestory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Anna Marie Howard, LaVaughn Thom and brother Clarence Larson.
She is survived by her children and many loved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service for Eileen will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017 at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, WI. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m., the same day, until the time of service at !:00 at the Church. Burial will be in Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery, Beldenville, WI.
