Eleanore Brown

Eleanore J. Brown, age 92 of Hudson, died peacefully at her home  at Red Cedar Canyon on  December 6, 2018.   Eleanore was born on January 16, 1926 in Stillwater, MN to Frank Graves and Mary Jane McDonald.   She was united in marriage to Ray G Brown on September 6, 1947 in Bayport, MN.  They were married for  64 years before Ray passed away in 2012.  The couple was blessed with a son, David R Brown. Eleanore  loved her family and appreciated all the time she spent with them.  She cherished her grandchildren, great-grand children and her great-great grandson.  She enjoyed Polka Mass, dancing, playing cards and bingo.

Eleanore is survived by her son David (Kathy) Brown, three granddaughters, Kimberly (Joel) Longnecker, Nicki Croes, and Laura (Bruce) Vanderwerff.  Seven great-grandchildren, Lizzie (Luke) Nygaard, Joshua Croes, Alex Mahr, Cody Vanderwerff, Renee Vanderwerff, Owen Vanderwerff and Ja rel Hobson.  One great-great grandson, Brantley Nygaard.

Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Ray Brown and two sisters, Donna Schelander and Audrey Collins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be will be 11AM Tuesday, December 11th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at St. Patrick’s Tuesday morning. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Cemetery in rural Somerset. Active Pallbearers will be Lizzie Nygaard, Joshua Croes, Alex Mahr, Luke Nygaard, Cody Vanderwerff, Renee Vanderwerff and Owen Vanderwerff.  Funeral service have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
