Eric Jordan Burns

Eric Jordan Burns, 54, passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Eric was born on May 18, 1972, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to Judy Burns. He graduated from Menomonie High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–Stout.

Eric married Nicole on September 27, 2014. They had the most beautiful life together with their two children, Jordan and Aubrey. Being a husband and father was Eric’s greatest joy.

Eric had a big heart and loved making people smile. He had a gift for bringing laughter wherever he went. His friends were like family, and the time they shared together created countless memories that will never be forgotten.

Eric enjoyed golfing, attending live music and sporting events, and spending time with the people he loved most. A devoted sports fan, Eric especially loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He took great happiness in passing his love of sports on to his son.

Eric leaves behind his loving wife, Nicole; his beloved children, Jordan and Aubrey; his mother, Judy; and many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Loretta Burns, whose love and influence remained with him throughout his life.

He will be remembered for his generous heart and his contagious smile. The love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Memorial service starting at 6:30.

In honor of Eric’s love for his family, memorials are preferred to support Jordan and Aubrey’s future.
