Ernest Leroy Hobbs

Ernest “Ernie” LeRoy Hobbs, age 86, of Ellsworth, WI passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Ellsworth Care Center. He was born May 15, 1928 in River Falls, WI to Alfred and Nellie (Gibbs) Hobbs. On July 11, 1950 he was united in marriage to Lila Jean Kinneman. He was a member of the U. S. Air Force serving in Korea.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Nellie Hobbs; 2 sisters, Helen Lynner and Lorraine Hickey; 3 brothers, Francis, Elwin” Sonny”, and Elmer ”Tommy”. In-laws, Herman and Vivian Kinneman; brothers-in-law, Ralph Hickey, Billy Ray Marcus, Cleland Kinneman, Charles Kinneman, Kenny Youmans, and Donald Christiansen also preceded Ernie in death.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lila Jean; foster daughters, Carol (Robert) King of River Falls, WI, Jacki Anderson of River Falls, WI; 2 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 1 sister, Jeanette Linder of Ellsworth, WI; 1 brother, James (Sandy) Hobbs, of Ellsworth, WI, sister-in-law, Betty Hobbs of Osceola, WI brother-in-law, Marchand Lynner of Red Wing, MN; sisters-in-law, JoAnne Christiansen of Prescott, WI, LaVerle Marcus of Ellsworth, WI, Clarisse (Gene) Beckler of Ellsworth, WI, Joy Youmans of Red Wing, MN; brother-in-law, Harlin (Carolyn) Kinneman of Hager City, WI.

Funeral services for Ernie will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Zion Covenant Church, Ellsworth, WI. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Beldenville Cemetery.
