Florence “Jean” Ray

Florence “Jean” Ray, age 87, of Hudson, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at The Gathering in Stillwater, MN.
Jean was born on August 31, 1929 in Salem Township, Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry and Geneva (Minder) Peterson.
Jean was very talented and creative. She loved to crochet and do other various crafts. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, laughing and spending time with her family and friends. Jean touched the lives of many people with her smile and clever sense of humor. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and grandson, Travis Anderson.
Jean is survived by her five children, Bruce Anderson of Hager City, WI, Blaine Anderson of Maiden Rock, WI, Steven Ray of Lufkin TX, Guy Ray of Raleigh, NC, Charla Ray of Hudson, WI; step-daughter, Claudia (Bob) Riste of Colfax, WI; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Samuel, Heath, Luke, Adam, Nicholas, Devin, and Hannah; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Sanders of Gainsville, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service for Jean will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, WI. The family will receive visitors from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will be at a later date in Maiden Rock Cemetery.
