Freddie Sides

Freddie Joe Sides, age 76, of Hudson, WI, died early in the morning on Sunday, May 19, 2013 after a long illness.  Freddie was born on March 30, 1937 to O.D. and Gertrude (Brown) Sides in Jasper, Alabama.  He retired from the US Army in July of 1983 after 21 years of service.  He was united in marriage to Wanda Hill on March 7, 1964 and their union was blessed with three daughters, Melissa, Leslie Elizabeth and Shana.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughters, Melissa (Vince) Costello and Shana Earwood; grandchildren, Joseph and Jason Costello, Bailey Earwood, and Zach Rose and brothers, Harold, Kenneth, John David, and Jim Sides.  He is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Leslie Elizabeth; sister, Faye Sides-Morris; and granddaughter, Jordan Costello.

Services for Freddie will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson Chapel.  715.386.3725
