Frederick Elie Fritts Jr.

Frederick Elie Fritts, Jr., age 56, was called Home on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Regions Hospital, surrounded by family.  Fred was born August 12, 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Edith Fritts and Frederick Fritts, Sr.  He was raised in Wauwatosa, WI and attended Wauwatosa East High School where he graduated in 1983.  After high school, Fred pursued a marketing degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

After meeting Genne, the love of his life, he moved to St. Paul, MN, where he made his living driving truck for Old Dominion Freight Line in Blaine, Minnesota.   He and Genne were married May 3rd, 2003, and moved to Woodville, WI.  Their union would be blessed with three children, Anna “Banana” Ceili, Collin “Bud” Jacob and Shannon “Sweets” Marie.

Fred loved sports – watching Wisconsin teams, playing basketball, softball, broomball and lately, playing Draft Kings.  Watching his kids compete in their sports gave him great joy.  Over his life, he was an avid runner, with his favorite races taking place on the trails and woods of Wisconsin and the North Shore.   Fred spent his youth honing a “perfect shot.”  Fred could be found in the gyms of Baldwin & Woodville, helping to coach basketball, a sport he had great passion for, helping others hone their perfect shot, too.

Fred enjoyed working with wood and had great talent for building storage solutions for all items in the house and garage.  In the summer, he loved keeping his lawn immaculate and year-round could be found building and sitting around a camp fire.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, most recently watching the Bucks #winin6, in his “Garage Mahal.”

Fred will be dearly missed by his wife, Genne; children, Anna, Collin and Shannon; siblings Sue (Russ) Hanson, Janet (Joe) Flottmeyer, nieces Caroline, Natalie and nephew, Matthew; aunt Barbara Stake, mother/father-in-law Tom and Karen McAndrew and sister/brother-in-law Kelly McAndrew and Tim McAndrew and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith, and father, Frederick.

Please join family and friends to remember Fred. A visitation will take place Monday evening, August 16, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Baldwin, 1010 Newton Street. Baldwin, WI 54002. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Erin Prairie at 11:00am with a visitation one-hour prior, 1880 County Road G, New Richmond, WI  54017.
