Gaylen James Enerson, age 73, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019, at Arbor Glen Senior Living of Lake Elmo, MN. Gaylen was born on December 1, 1945, the son of Marvin and Marian in Fosston, MN. He attended McIntosh High School, graduating with the Class of 1963. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Gaylen worked as a supervisor at Xcel Energy until retirement. In 1995 he was united in marriage to his “sweetheart” Dianne.

Gaylen was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He had a special love for horses, and was a member of both the Willow River Saddle Club and Somerset Saddle Club. He adored taking trips out West to see the mountains with his wife. Anyone who knew Gaylen, knew he was always smiling, loved to tinker outside, had the best positive attitude, and was full of endless kindness. Gaylen treasured moments with his family and dear friends more than anything.

Gaylen will remain in the hearts of his wife of 23 years, Dianne; children, Chad (Mary), Sheila, Keli (Matt), Sarah (Eric), Shelly (Josh), and Erik; grandchildren, Jamie (Tony), Jocelyn, Parker, Wyatt, Lily, Paige, Taylor, Blake and Mazie; great grandchildren, Chloe, Silas, Iyla, Esme; siblings, Edward, Marvel, Lowell, and Joyce; as well as additional loved ones and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Marian; granddaughter, Ashley; mother-in-law, Almira; and nephew, Jamie.

A Gathering with Family and Friends will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at The O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI. The Memorial Service for Gaylen will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 11:00 am at Cross Lutheran Church in Roberts, WI.

    • Many good times were had with Gaylen who lived just down the road from us. Country School, Deer Hunting,Hill River Lake fishing just a few.I will always remember the good times together.Our sympathy Dianne and family.
