Gene R. Reinhardt

Gene Raymond Reinhardt, age 84, passed away Friday, June 1, at the Parkview Nursing Home in Woodville, WI. Gene was born March 21, 1934, in Woodville, WI, the son of Joe Reinhardt and Ruby Bauer. He attended school in St. Paul, and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1952. On October 16, 1954, Gene was united in marriage to Shirley Jane Olson at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN.

Gene was an exceptional handyman and he applied those skills at numerous positions and occupations until acquiring a job as a carpenter for Minnesota Exteriors for many years. He loved attending to his gardens, in which, he cultivated anything that was edible; he was especially proud to produce his own tomato juice straight from his own garden. Gene was also an avid fisherman; he always looked forward to having a line in the water on a peaceful morning or as the sun went down.

Gene will remain in the hearts of his wife, Shirley; sons, Greg (Sally) Reinhardt, Mark (Sandra) Reinhardt, Steven (Cindy) Reinhardt, Daryl (Ann) Reinhardt, Raymond (Heather) Reinhardt; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; half-brothers, Duane (Patricia) Reinhardt, and Roger (Cheryl) Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, as well as one hour prior to the service. Funeral Service for Gene will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 7, the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
