Genevieve “Jenny” Alice Johnson

Genevieve “Jenny” Alice Johnson, age 84, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, June 02, 2016 at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN.
Jenny was born on May 17, 1932 in Winona, MN the daughter of Archibald and Alice (Anderson) Welty.
She was a graduate of Red Wing High School. Genevieve married LeRoy Johnson September 24, 1951 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA.
Jenny enjoyed bird watching, gardening, sewing and reading. She was also an avid Packer fan! She loved spending time with her children and grand-children, and her family loved her very much.
Jenny is survived by her five children: Lynn (Randy) Gunderson, Kerry (Cheryl) Johnson, Jean (Gary) Johnson, Sally (Steve) Melstrom, Jerry (Heather) Johnson, and her special friend, Jack Dahl.
Grandchildren: Stephanie, Sheree, Jeremy, Luke, Tara, Dana, Corey, Wade, Kelsey, Jamie, Jared, Jenna, Jacob, and Shane.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren, sisters, Patricia Lunde, Norma Steele, and brothers Glenn Welty and John Anderson. Sister-in-law Shirley Englund and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy, and infant daughter Susan, and her sister, Inez Hauschildt.

A private graveside service will be held in the Bethel Covenant Cemetery, Ellsworth, WI

An open house,celebration of life for Jenny will be Tuesday July 19th from 3:00-5:00 pm at Bethel Covenant Church in rural Ellsworth, WI
