George E. Kringle

George Edward Kringle, age 78 of Hersey WI, died on June 13, 2014 at the V.A. Hospital in Minneapolis MN. George was born October 16, 1935 in Mikana WI to parents Edward H. and Genevieve (nee Muehe) Kringle. George attended school in the Mikana area, and enlisted in the United States Army, which lead to a 20 year military career. George served in Korea and Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star. After retirement, George continued to work in masonry. George would be united in marriage to Mary Painter in 1999. George was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. George enjoyed working on old cars and being outdoors from dawn til dusk.

George is survived by his wife, Mary: brother, Bruce Anderson; sisters Barbara Blake and Marilyn Roberts; 3 step-children; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Harold; and sister, Zada.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 19th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street, Baldwin WI. Visitation will be held 1 hr prior. Burial 2:00pm Monday, June 23rd at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, WI. 715-684-3434
