Georgia Nord

Georgia Nord, age 72 of Frederic, formerly of Hudson died September 11th at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater. Georgia was born July 17, 1948 in River Falls, Wisconsin; the daughter of Eugene and Alice (Brunette) Nord. She was raised in Hudson where she graduated from high school in 1966.

Georgia was a homemaker who loved cooking, dancing and spending time with her family. Her positive demeanor and smile was infectious to those around her. She loved nature and the peace that comes from watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders; especially the hummingbirds drinking the nectar from her flowers. She also had a warm spot in her heart for her cats. On a quiet day, she enjoyed a good book, which on occasion was a romance novel.

Georgia will remain in the hearts of her children Nathan Eng of Frederic, Erin (Dan) Kaiser of Frederic; grandchildren Katelyn and Alyssa; siblings Hope Leen of Waterville, MN, Mary (Arlen) Belisle of Bayport, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Alice, brothers Jan and Dallas, infant son Kavan Eng, and brother-in-law Arne Leen.

Memorial services for Georgia Nord will be 4pm, Thursday, September 17th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 So. 11th Street, Hudson. Visitation will follow from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorials preferred to the discretion of the family.
