Geraldine Arlene Schommer

Geraldine “Gerri” Schommer, age 91, of Prescott, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at the Kinnic Health and Rehab, surrounded by her loving family.

Gerri was born on July 18, 1934, in Frankfort Township to Marjorie Anderson.

Gerri enjoyed playing Euchre and other card games with family and friends, watching her favorite soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless. She loved country music, working on crafts, going to the casino and occasional fish fries. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her happiness and she enjoyed the time spent with them.

Gerri is survived and will be remembered by her children, Mike Harmon (Kae), Sam Harmon, Janet Green (Larry Carr), Jane Schommer, Barb Meier (Alan Clement), Dan Schommer (Sonja), and Dave Schommer (Stacy); along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Marvin Maxwell (Maxine), Duane Maxwell, James Maxwell, Arnie Maxwell (Jeannie), Darlene Almsted, Jannet Hinrichs and Diane Stewart.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Anderson; her husband, Clair Schommer; siblings, Dennis Maxwell, William Maxwell, Steve Maxwell, Beverly Suckow, and Donna Jensen; sisters-in-law, Anita Maxwell and Joanne Maxwell; and brothers-in-law. Jim Hinrichs, Lloyd Almsted and Darrell Stewart.

A special thank you to St. Croix Hospice and Kinnic Health and Rehab for the compassionate care they provided to Gerri.

A Celebration of Life for Gerri will be held at a later date.
