Glenn V. Winger Jr, age 59, of Spring Valley, WI, passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2016 at his home in Spring Valley.
Glenn was born on November 6, 1956 in Crookston, MN to Glenn Virgil Winger Sr. and Constance Elizabeth (Nicholls) Winger. He proudly served our country in the United States Army.
He was very proud of his three children: Daniel, Jennifer, and Joseph, and enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren. In his younger years, he spent much of his time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. For much of his career, he was a truck driver. He is a hero to many and will live in our hearts forever.
Glenn is survived by his children: Daniel (Angela) Winger, Jennifer (John) Link, and Joseph (Jennifer) Winger; 7 grandchildren: Mason and Gavin Winger, Briana, Trevor, and Violet Link, and Cameron and Kailynn Winger, and one expected in January; siblings: Chris Winger (Clif), Kim (Tom) Makins, Lynne Winger, Cathy (Bo) Petersen, Lisa (John) Tuttle, Mike (Jennifer) Winger, and Russell (Tracy) Winger; 16 nieces and nephews; uncle, Randy (Barb) Nicholls; aunts, Delores (Jerry) Baril and Beverly Burrington; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death his parents, Glenn Virgil Winger Sr. and Constance Elizabeth (Nicholls) Winger; and niece, Constance Elizabeth Tuttle.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin. In honor of his memory, his children will be going to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to celebrate him and the place he loved so much.
