Gloria L. Pearson

Gloria Lillian Pearson, age 94 of Hudson, passed away May 16, 2019 at the Woodbury Health Care Center. Gloria was born on February 10, 1925 in Springfield Massachusetts, to parents Rev. Hans and Edith (Nelson) Pearson. Growing up with a pastor as a father, she was taught to always be helpful to others, which she took to heart and became a very giving individual with a beautiful personality and a great sense of humor. Gloria worked as a supervisor in the mailroom at Hammermill Paper in Erie, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed needlepoint and cross-stitch, and was an excellent seamstress, often making her own clothes. Gloria was an active member of Mt. Zion Lutheran church for many years, and was fond of reading, doing word book and jigsaw puzzles, and listening to classical music.

Gloria will remain in the heart of her brother-in-law, Norman Lust; nieces, Sheryl (fiancé Roger Brondstetter) Newad, and Nancy (John) Herbst; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Helen Pearson and Grace Lust.

A memorial service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30th, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 505 13th St., Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred.
