Gordon Arling Johnson

Gordon Arling Johnson, 79, of Ellsworth, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.

Gordy was born on November 26, 1936 in Hager City, WI the son of Arling and Anna (Bork) Johnson.
He was 1954 graduate of Ellsworth High School. Gordy served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 – 1962. He married Myrna Leonard and they later divorced. He then married Lois “Schmoo” Mendel and she died in 2011. In 2015 he married Angel Hayes. For many years Gordy worked for Kings Cove Marina and owned and operated Gordy’s Lock and Key.

Gordy loved to camp and go to picnics.

He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Gordy is survived by his wife Angel.
Children: Bill (Kathy) Jonas, Ann (Scott Johnson) Rustad, and Mike (Kim) Johnson.
Stepchildren: Cassandra Anderson, Nicholas Linder and Cynthia Linder.
Grandchildren: Karen, Adam, Emily, Peter, Kenzie, Temperance, Alyce And Nancy.
Great-grandchildren: Ender and Ezra.

Gordy was preceded in death by his wife Lois “Schmoo”, daughter Michelle, son-in-law Ki and his parents.

Funeral services for Gordy will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth and for one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Wednesday.
