Grace Mary Obermueller

Grace M. Obermueller, age 82 of Glenwood City passed away on July 31, 2026, at the Baldwin Care Center peacefully with her family by her side.

She was born April 10, 1944, in Milwaukee. She grew up in Woodville and graduated from Baldwin-Woodville High School in 1962. For a time, she worked at Fabri-Tech in Amery, also over years Friday's Canning Company, Dave's Foods, and retired from Mills Fleet Farm.

On May 2, 1964, she and Richard “Dick” Obermueller were united in marriage at St John's the Baptist Catholic Church. Together they raised four children: Lori, Rick, Joe and Dan. They lived in the Glenwood City, Emerald and Woodville area prior to moving to their family farm in Glenwood City in 1968.

She was a long-time active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glenwood City. She was a Women’s Group Leader and had coordinated and served many funeral luncheons.

Her interests included cooking, baking, and entertaining family and friends. She loved to garden and do canning. She was also outgoing and enjoyed dancing, card parties, bowling. bingo, crafts, and sewing.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Dick; and son Joe, parents Thomas and Rosella Mahoney.

Survived by her children Lori (Dion) Klinger, Rick (Lori) Obermueller, & Dan Obermueller; grandchildren Marietta (Corey) Britton, Bethanne (Sam) DeStefano, Valori (Isaac) Burton, Jenesa Klinger (Carson Strong), Joe (Ashlee) Obermueller, Jake Obermueller (Jessica Hampton), Lisa (Kirk) Alger, & Dustin Avery.

Great-grandchildren:

Brody, Cayson and Coleson Britton, Jacob, Joseph, and Brielle Burton, David DeStefano.

Rhett Obermueller, Kaylie and Garrett Avery, & Lana and Damon Alger.

Siblings Mary (John) Mikla, Pat (Melinda) Mahoney, Jim (Keri) Mahoney, & Margaret (Dennis) Ohman

Iin-laws Mary (Barry) Mahoney, Margaret (Jim) Jirsa, Bob (Theresa) Obermueller, & Don (Star) Obermueller, and Kathy Obermueller; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, August 4th Rosary at 3:30pm with visitation starting at 4 PM to 8 PM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glenwood City. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, August 5th at 11 AM. Visitation also one hour prior to Mass. Interment church Cemetery.
