Gregory P. Stenger, age 76 of Baldwin, WI, formerly New Hope and Apple Valley, MN, passed away on October 25, 2022. Greg was born on September 25, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Robert and Norma Stenger. After his schooling Greg enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served during the Vietnam War. After his time in the service, Greg worked as an engineer at Donaldson Company and was also a volunteer firefighter in New Hope for 20 years.

His favorite hobbies included fishing, camping, curling, boating and watching the Vikings. He was a fantastic storyteller and loved playing Texas Hold’em.

Preceded in death by parents Robert and Norma Stenger and sisters Margaret Stenger and Leslie Kipnis

He will be missed greatly by his wife Donna; children Lisa (Paul) Gintner, Anita (Mark) Glidden, Amy (RJ Dale) Stenger, and Catherine (Tanner) Johnson; grandchildren Casey (Josh) Pratt, Chloe (Dylan) Gintner, Anna, Brooks, and Nolan; Great Grandchild Kairo, siblings Mike (Pat), Mary (John) Stenger-Kuczek, Debbie (Lyle) Birr, and Charles (Natalie); step family Deb, Nicole (Jesse), and Cortney (Derek) Leupke; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Greg will be held on November 19, 2022 at the Rosemount VFW Post #9433, 2625 120th St W, Rosemount, MN 55068.  Visitation will be from 12-4pm with a time for sharing stories at 1pm. Burial at Fort Snelling TBD for family.
