It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold John Miller, a beloved father, brother, veteran, and friend, who left this world on March 2, 2025. Harold was a man of many passions and profound kindness, whose spirit touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Born in Medford, Wisconsin with a love for the Great Outdoors, Harold spent countless hours hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed trout fishing and deer hunting; and pursued these passions across North America. A UW Madison alum, he married Shirley Okerson from Cumberland, WI settling and raising his two sons in the Minneapolis area, where he liked to golf and cheer for the Vikings (to no avail). He spent much of his time at his cabin in Stone Lake, WI where, along with hunting and fishing, he loved gardening and cutting wood… anything that kept him in the woods.
Harold’s dedication to service was evident during his time in the Army, making his way to Captain, where he served his country with honor and distinction. After his military career, he brought the same commitment and tenacity to his work in the trucking industry, and then as an industrial real estate agent with Robert Boblet and Associates, building lifelong relationships and leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and clients. Harry was well known for his generosity, and was very active in Rotary, SIOR, and the Special Olympics, as well as being a lifelong member and active supporter of Trout Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited.
He leaves behind his cherished family.
Son Scott (Lynda), Grandsons Josh (Whitney), Zach (Meg), Luke and Jake, and Great Grandchildren Calvin, Ava, Colt, Roman and Warren.
Son Doug (Heidi), Grandsons Aubry and Riley, and Granddaughter Montana.
