Hudson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harry Leif Danielson, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on October 18, after a long battle with cancer. Born on May 17, 1947, in River Falls, Wisconsin, to parents Henry & Frances Danielson, he lived a life marked by dedication and passion.

Harry served his country proudly as a member of the United States Marines. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, a testament to his bravery during the tumultuous times of the Vietnam War, where he served not once, but twice, embodying the spirit of unwavering commitment and sacrifice.

Professionally, Harry was a skilled cement mason in the construction industry, where he poured not only concrete but also his heart into every project. His love for his work was replaced by his passion for landscaping and caring for his lawn, which he tended to with the utmost pride. Harry found joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially in his trusty Chevy Silverado, which he often regarded as his pride and joy, a reliable companion on countless drives.

Harry was a treasured community member, spending his whole life in Hudson, graduating in 1965 from Hudson High School. He was also a very active parishioner at Bethel Lutheran Church, faithfully attending every Sunday.

Harry is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; son, Dustin (Trisha); daughter, Courtney (Joel); grandson, Hunter; granddaughter, Madison; sister, Mary Martin; brothers, William "Hank" (Midge) Danielson, and Thomas (Diane) Danielson; plus, many extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Frances Danielson.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on October 29th, 2pm, at Willow River Cemetery; and a Celebration of Life at Somerset Legion, 464 County Road VV, on November 8th, from 1-4pm. All are welcome to attend and share stories of our beloved Harry.
