Henry Benz

Henry Erick Benz was born on August 25, 2005, in Austin, Texas. He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the young age of 19.

From his childhood, Henry was vibrant and had an outgoing presence, always eager to explore the world around him. Growing up in Texas, he enjoyed being in the outdoors, as well as participating in the local Boy Scouts Troop 159. In 7th grade, Henry and his family moved to Hudson Wisconsin, where he joined the local Boy Scout Troop 148. As he grew, Henry loved playing video games, listening to music, and most importantly spending time with his brother Charlie and their dog Ranger.

Though Henry faced personal challenges as a teenager, his bright spirit and kind heart shone through to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving mother Linda Pierog Benz and father Erick Benz, and brother Charlie Benz; his maternal grandma Arlene Pierog and paternal grandpa Gerhard Benz; aunts and uncles Mark (Lori) Pierog, Michael Pierog, Renee (Jim) Ernst, Heidi (Gary) Oldland, Ingrid (Tom) Blair, as well as many cousins and friends.

A memorial service for Henry will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 P.M. with the memorial service following immediately at 12:00 P.M.
