Jack Earl Brown, age 90, of Hager City, WI died peacefully on July 13, 2016 at the Red Wing Health Center. He was born on September 10, 1925 in Hager City to John and Dagne (Jeppesen) Brown. After graduating from high school he served in the U.S. Navy/Air Force. On July 29, 1947 he was united in marriage to Shirley Mae Bennett. Jack and Shirley owned and operated Brownies Restaurant in Hager City for 18 years. After selling the restaurant Jack was the Postmaster of the Hager City Post Office for 23 years. During the time he owned the restaurant and was Postmaster he was also farming.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Leon Brown.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Shirley; 4 sons, Jack (Paula), Tom, Kelly (Shawn), Randy (Dianne); 8 grandchildren, Peter (Diana), Kevin, Anna, Ben (Megan), Brian, Abby, Callan, Molly; 4 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Allison, Vincent, August; sister, Elaine Lytle; brother, George Brown.

Graveside service for Jack will be 2:00pm Tuesday, July 19th at Trenton Cemetery, Hager City, WI.

Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Ellsworth, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
