Jacob Kenneth Anderson, age 35, of Prescott, Wisconsin, passed away on September 30, 2025, at Regions Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jake was born on August 15, 1990, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, to Scott Anderson and Cathleen Johnston. He grew up in Forest Lake, where he attended Forest Lake High School, later pursuing a degree in culinary arts. Although trained as a chef, Jake found joy and fulfillment working as a machine operator for 3M, a role that gave him both stability and pride.
On December 30, 2023, Jake married the love of his life, Claire, at the Dakota County Courthouse. Their marriage marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Shortly after, they made their home in Prescott, where they enthusiastically embraced their new community with energy, joy, and a shared sense of adventure.
Jake had a vibrant, creative spirit and a boundless love for his family. He was the kind of husband and dad who could turn any idea into reality whether it was building a backyard play space or inventing clever contraptions to keep the house lively (including a memorable ramp designed to coax a possum out of a window well). With a “let’s figure it out” attitude, he’d pull up a YouTube video and make anything happen.
Jake expressed his love through humor, quick wit, hands-on projects, and heartfelt gestures. He created a fairytale romance with Claire and filled their children’s lives with laughter, imagination, and wonder. He was deeply proud of the life he built for his family and the adventures they shared. Even with his swing-shift schedule, Jake made sure to plan at least one family meal a day and looked forward to his days off as opportunities for new experiences together.
Jake also cherished the simple joys quiet evenings with Claire, indulging in his favorite sweet treats, or enjoying a new ice cream flavor he had discovered. Despite his culinary background, he was especially proud of his “famous” cheese quesadillas and his love of hot dogs. These everyday moments were where his heart truly shined.
Jake’s legacy is one of love, laughter, ingenuity, and devotion to his family. He will be remembered for his contagious energy, his ability to make life fun, and the way he gave his whole heart to those he loved.
Jake is survived by, his loving wife Claire Anderson, his daughter Liliana Anderson, his son Benjamin Anderson, his father Scott Anderson, his step-mom Tammy Anderson, his mother Cathy Johnston, his mother-in-law Marie Mehiskomer, father-in-law Greg Mehsikomer, as well as 28 nieces and nephews, 10 brothers and sisters, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
