Jacob “Jake “Peter Mantalica
September 1, 2025
Jacob “Jake” Peter Mantalica, age 31 passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2025. Tragically, Jacob was silently suffering with his mental health and took his own life. He was born in Maplewood, MN and grew up in Hudson, WI. In high school he moved to Somerset, WI where he graduated in 2013. He graduated from the University of WI, River Falls with a degree in communications in 2018.
Jake played baseball and football and liked being outdoors. He loved photography, spending time with friends, hanging out with his siblings/family and was always going on various adventures.
Jake was truly the light in the room. He was the most helpful, kind and compassionate soul anyone could ever have the pleasure of meeting. In his short 31 years in this world, he always had a smile on his face and rarely had harsh words to say. He was a wonderful personal trainer and lit up every space he entered. Just being with him made you want to be a better person.
Jake was loved by so many; we are humbled at the sheer number of lives he touched. He was fortunate enough to have some amazing, life-long friends and loved his “brothers” Steven, Trevor, D.J. and countless others.
Jake is survived by his mother Michelle Jacobsen (Ryan), father Peter Mantalica (Nicole), sister McKenna Anderson, brothers Tyler Anderson (Hope) and Jackson McGregor, niece Leighla Banks, grandmother Sally Jensen (Jay), grandfather Mike Clymer (Cyndy), aunts, uncles, many cousins, best friends Steven Mason, Trevor Burtch, DJ Johnson and his girlfriend Elizabeth “Libby” Biermann.
