James Alton Baker age 79 of Baldwin. Passed away unexpectedly May 30, 2025 at his home.
Jim was born October 7, 1945 in Riverside, CA the son of Ellis Alton and Deloise L. (Trindle) Baker. After moving from California, he spent most of his life in St. Croix County, WI.
From 1965 To 1967 Jim served his country in the US Army in the Artillery.
For over 30 years, he worked as a machine operator for 3M.
He enjoyed traveling, many trips by train, and classic cars. Jim also loved animals.
In 1960 he became a member of First Baptist Church in Woodville. He served as a deacon, trustee, and usher at the church.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by his sister Ervajean (Gary) Brostrom; nephews Troy (Doreen) of Eau Claire, WI & Trent (Jenna) of Flowery Branch, GA; and 5 great nieces and nephews Sasha, Madison, Tyler, Carson, & Emmerson; step niece Nancy; and step nephew Allan.
Visitation Thursday, June 19th 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O’Connell Funeral Home, Baldwin. Memorial Service 11:00 AM Friday, June 20th at First Baptist Church, Woodville, WI. Interment Hammond Cemetery. Memorial preferred to First Baptist Church, Woodville.
