James E. “Jim” Henrich, age 76, of Prescott, WI died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, Friday, April 11, 2014 at United Hospital, St. Paul, MN.Jim was born on February 13, 1938 in St. Paul, the son of Magnus and Rose (Betz) Henrich.He graduated from high school and served his country in the Navy. He married Alice Nielsen on November 9, 1968. For many years he worked for the 3M company as a quality control engineer until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.Jim is survived by his wife, Alice, of Prescott and son, Scott and his wife Amy, also of Prescott.Two grandchildren: Andrew and Jacob.One brother and two sisters: William (Debra) Henrich; Donna (Russ) Maas; and Helen (Dan) Danzinger.Jim is further survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary and brother Donald.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.Military honors will be accorded Jim in Spooner at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Prescott, WI is serving the family.
