James Lyle Krasin

James Lyle Krasin, age 74 of River Falls, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2026, at his residence. Jim was born to Marge and Lyle Krasin on June 24, 1951, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Columbus High School where he excelled at music. Jim earned his Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Jim and Peggy (Ladron) met at High School Band Camp in 1967. They dated until they got married on June 2, 1973, at St Joseph’s Church in Stratford, Wisconsin. They moved to River Falls in 1973 and have resided there ever since. Jim was devoted to his family and never missed a sporting event or band concert for his sons, Brian and Paul. He was always willing to travel, no matter the distance, to support his nieces and nephews in their activities.

Jim worked as a night auditor at the Super 8 Motel in Hudson until his retirement in 2023. A devoted Packers and Brewers fan, he loved fishing with his sons and brothers and was always involved in events at Westside Elementary School. Some of his most cherished moments were the cruises he took with Peggy — he loved being out on the water and exploring new places, and family cruises were the best of all. But just as special were the quiet evenings at home, side by side on the couch watching television together.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Peggy; his children Brian and Paul (Kendra); his grandson Kalyn; his brothers Paul (Laurie) and Kent and his sister Carol (Dave) Pisani; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am on Friday, April 24, 2026 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church: 221 E. Division St. River Falls, WI 54022. A visitation will begin at 10:00am until the start of Mass. The mass will be livestreamed at: Krasin Mass.
