Jana Elizabeth Neuman (Iverson), beloved wife and mother of two, died peacefully in her sleep the morning of December 15th, 2016.
Born and raised in Hudson, WI, it was there at Hudson High School that she met her husband, Scott. She graduated in 1980, and they were married in 1985. Together they raised two sons while she maintained a 10 year career at West Publishing, among other positions.
Jana always stayed close to her family, remaining a best friend to her husband for 31 years, dedicating herself to caring for her parents in their later years, and maintaining near daily conversations with her sons as they ventured to college and beyond.
Friends and family will remember her fondly for her gift of gab, her sassy sense of humor, her love of kitsch, and her knack for decorating on a dime, but the true legacy she leaves behind is her extraordinary sense of empathy. No matter her own struggles, she always left her heart completely open, offering whatever she could to help friends, family or strangers in need.
Her time with us may have been short, but it was overflowing with a compassion that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Jana is preceded in death by her father, Gerald, mother, Bette and nephew Matthew. She is survived by her husband, Scott, and two sons, Jeff and Jake (Erin Muhs), brother Jeff (Jean) Iverson, aunt Mavis Siegel as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Church – Downtown Campus, 920 Third St., Hudson, with a visitation held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Willow River Cemetery.
