Janice Kay Forsythe

Janice Forsythe, a lifelong resident of Hudson, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026 surrounded by her family, at the age of 84. She will be remembered for her deep love for family and friends. Janice was a personal banker at First Federal, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and exceptional service. Throughout her life, Janice found joy in many activities, including bingo, reading, and knitting hats to donate to children in need. She enjoyed bowling leagues and car rides with visits to the casino, where she savored the excitement of the games and the thrill of spending time with those she loved. Her husband, whom she deeply missed since his passing, was a constant presence in her thoughts, and her love for her family was unwavering. She will be remembered for her “grandma cookies” her family’s favorite chocolate chip cookie. Janice was particularly fond of her weekly get-togethers with friends, finding joy in the connections shared over a cup of coffee.

She will be deeply missed by her children Thomas (Kristin) Forsythe, Kathy (Ron) Raymond, Debbie (Tim) Czech; grandchildren Aaron (Maddie), Jacob, Luke, Ben & Tyler. Her devotion to her grandchildren was evident throughout their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aldon “Bud” Forsythe, her parents Frederick & Jeanette Riedel, and her brother Paul Riedel.

Visitation 2-4 PM with a memorial at 4 PM Tuesday January 13 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson, 520 S. 11th St. Graveside service to follow at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
