Janice Wareberg

Janice D. Wareberg, age 68, of Cottage Grove, MN, died on January 30, 2014. Born on Sept. 19, 1945 in New Prague, MN to Fred and Marian (Krekelberg) Brenke, and grew up in Belle Plaine, MN. Was united in marriage to Donald Wareberg on Aug. 29, 1969. She worked at St. Paul Companies for 28 years. She enjoyed attending her son and grandsons’ sporting events, traveling, shopping, bible study classes, and playing “Spoons” with her family. She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Afton, MN.

Survived by her husband, Donald; loving and devoted son, Ross; step-son, Troy; granddaughters, Ariana and Nevaeh Burke; grandson, James Wareberg; brothers and sisters: Joyce Loftus, Robert Brenke, Stan (Julie) Brenke, James (Ann) Brenke, Shirley (Richard) Willson, Doug (Mary Anne) Brenke, and Bruce Brenke; sister-in-law, Shelia Barlow; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Tom Loftus.

A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 at the O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 14107 S. Hudson Rd., Afton with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
