Janith Marguerite Huberty

February 3, 1940 — March 25, 2026

River Falls

Janith was born in Elmwood WI to Arnold and Marguerite Geiger.

As a young girl she moved from Elmwood to St. Paul, MN. It was there that she met her husband of 49 years Raymond. They had six children. They started raising their family in St. Paul Midway area and then moved to River Falls WI in 1984 where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Janith was a caretaker. Her greatest treasure was her family. Blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren she dedicated her life to her family. She loved shopping, sewing, crafting and gardening. All hobbies she shared with her grandchildren.

Janith loved people. Not sure there was a person she couldn't strike up a conversation with. She was open and welcoming. Quickly learning about a person's background.

She extended her loving & caring ways to many kids providing day care out of her home in St. Paul. She was known as mama Jan to all the kids in the St. Paul neighborhood. A name she cherished

Once her kids were grown she started her own business selling teddy bears and other stuffed animals. This brought combined her love of sewing with her love of people, as she attended many craft fairs. She took up quilting & genealogy. She traveled with her husband Ray to many small towns around the US. And she cherished her trip to Luxemburg and Norway. Both places that where family originated from.

Jan is survived by her children Cheryl Ann Huberty, Michelle Travers, Raymond Huberty Jr, Margaret (Randall) Parker, William (AmyJo Most) Huberty, Janith (Robert) Frederick, Ten Grandchildren, and Ten Great Grandchildren, and Sister-In-Law Barbara Geiger.

She is Preceded in death by her husband Raymond Huberty, parents, Arnold and Marguerite Geiger, brothers, Gerald Geiger, Rodger Geiger, granddaughter Kimberly Travers.
