Jean C. Tritt

Jean Carol Tritt, age 67 of North Hudson WI, died on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St Paul MN after a year long battle with cancer.   Jeani was born February 19, 1950 in Stillwater MN to parents Raymond and Frances (Olson) Engstrom.  She was raised in Hudson, and graduated from Hudson High School in 1968 and went on to the University of Wisconsin – Stout, where she majored in vocational rehabilitation and minored in psychology, with special studies in business administration and graduated with honors earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972.

At age 15, Jeani met her future husband while attending band camp. She would be united in marriage to Jayson Tritt on August 29, 1970 in Hudson WI. Their union in marriage would be blessed with a daughter, Kimberly, three grandchildren, and over 46 years of love and devotion.

Jeani worked for many years as an equity trader in the Investment Division of Thrivent Financial. Jeani was an avid quilter, who loved creating handcrafted heirlooms for others  to enjoy and pass on, especially baby quilts.  Jeani was also a gifted musician, singing in the Trinity Church choir, and volunteering her talents as a pianist for the residents of Pine Ridge Assisted Living, Red Cedar Canyon, and the Christian Community Home. Jeani especially enjoyed watching the Badgers, Packers, Twins and Brewers with friends and family.  Her favorite place was home watching the sunset from the deck.  She liked nothing better than socializing with friends and  will be fondly remembered for her infectious laugh, caring nature and love of life.   Jeani’s family meant the world to her, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy, bringing her smiles and laughter.  Jeani so enriched the lives of others, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jeani is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jayson; daughter, Kimberly (Justin) Seidel; grandchildren, Connor, Maari, and Sonja Seidel; sister, Judy (Jim) Beaudry; twin brother, Bill (Judy) Engstrom; her extended family, and members of Jayson’s family. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Frances Engstrom.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Jean Tritt will be held from 1:30-4:30pm on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th Street S. in Hudson WI. Memorials honoring Jean may be given to the favorite charity of the donor’s choosing. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson WI. 715-386-3725
