Mary Jean Kimitch, age 98, of Hudson, Wisconsin, formerly of New Brighton, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. Born on July 19, 1927, in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, Jean was one of eight children, and embodied the values of family and togetherness throughout her life. She attended Bethlehem Academy in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and graduated as valedictorian.
On September 6, 1947, she married the love of her life, Ronald Kimitch. Together, they were blessed with four children. Jean was a devoted caretaker and nurturer, lovingly raising her children and later finding joy in caring for her grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was known as a peacekeeper, whose patience and positivity touched the hearts of all who knew her.
In addition to her nurturing spirit, Jean was very creative. She was a gifted quilter and embroiderer, finding joy in making beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She also dabbled in pottery and enjoyed reading, often finding solace in the pages of a good book.
Special thanks to the Woodland Hill Staff and the Lakeview Hospice nurses for their exceptional care and support.
Jean is survived by her children Michael (Susan) Kimitch, Donald (Eileen) Kimitch, Mark (Mary) Kimitch, and Susan (Rob) Raveling; grandchildren Maija (Jason), Becky, Rob, Monica (Jenn), Andrea (Brian), Miyeko, Mark Andrew (Smruti), Molly, Benjamin, Sam (Lindsay), and Bailey; great-grandchildren Jack, Kate, Nolan, Nora, Charlee Rae, Cora, Elin, Samana, Aadi, and Dhruv; siblings Robert "Bob" Davis, Marilyn (Jim) Ohlmann, and Bill (Shirley) Davis; sister-in-law Lucille Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
