Jeanne Hildegard Sames, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Georg and Hildegard Krutzikowsky, was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chicago in 1950 and graduated from Carl Schurz High School.

Jeanne grew up in Chicago, where she met her future husband, William Sames, in a German choir, sparking a love that would last for over 65 years. Together, they created a warm and loving home and cherished countless memories. Jeanne excelled in being a homemaker, nurturing her family, and demonstrated unwavering loyalty.

Jeanne was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodbury, where she sang in the choir and participated in the fellowship committee. Her love for music was further illustrated by her time spent with the River City Chorale and as a season ticket holder at the Minnesota Orchestra. She loved to start her day with a comforting cup of coffee while doing a crossword puzzle or reading an espionage thriller. She occasionally indulged in a beer, outings to her favorite restaurants and shopping adventures. She enjoyed visiting relatives in Germany, vacations with her family and weekends at the cabin.

In her later years, Jeanne devoted herself to caring for her husband, William, as long as she was able, showcasing the deep love and commitment they shared.

Jeanne is survived by her husband William; children William G. Sames (Margaret Jane Wray), Brigitte (Sames) Feia (Lon L. Feia), Kurt Sames (Karoline Nelson), and Christine Sames; grandchildren Aria DeWuske, Zach Sames, Kia Feia, Luke Sames, Meade Sames, Lonny Feia, Avery Sames and Aiden Sames; siblings Ruth Schmidt and Gunther Krutzikowsky

She is preceded in death by her parents Georg and Hildegard; siblings Georg Krutzikowsky, Klaus Krutzikowsky, Heinz Krutzikowsky.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodbury, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 10-11am with a service starting at 11am. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodbury.
