Jeanne Smith

Jeanne Marie Smith, age 65 of Hudson, WI, passed away, surrounded by loved ones on April 28, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in St Louis Park, MN.

Jeanne was born on April 20, 1957, to Lloyd “Toby” and Marie Olson in the city of Hudson. Jeanne graduated from Hudson High School in 1975, and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. In 1978, she married Dana Smith, and the couple were blessed with three children, Keely, Toby, and Kendra.

Jeanne loved her family, they were her life. She especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and spoiling them. Jeanne had an infectious laugh and loved to make others laugh too. While her children were growing up, the family would take Sunday drives around the countryside for fun. Jeanne liked entertaining and baking for her family. Some of her favorite dishes were, Blueberry Buckle and Peanut Butter Cake. When she wasn’t entertaining her family, she was fond of reading, puzzles, and word searches.

Jeanne is survived by her parents, Lloyd “Toby” and Marie Olson; her husband, Dana Smith; children, Keely (Daniel) Ellyson, Toby (Nichole) Smith, Kendra Smith (Joseph Stephens); grandchildren, Ava, Alexandra, Aubree, Savannah; brother, Roger (Pam) Olson; and sister, Julie (Stan Bonngard) Bjornstad. She was predeceased in death by her grandparents.

A public visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. The family will hold a private memorial service. Interment at the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
