Jeffrey "Ole" Anderson October 20, 1956 – September 9, 2025
Jeffrey “Ole” Anderson, age 68, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. A simple man with a big heart and an easy laugh, Ole lived a life rich with family, friendships, and the things that truly mattered.
Born on October 20, 1956, to Galen and Mildred Anderson, Ole grew up on the family farm alongside his older sister, Jan. Life on the farm taught him the value of hard work and the joy of Sunday dinners, especially when shared with family and with a cold Budweiser in hand.
He attended Baldwin-Woodville School District and, over the years, wore many hats in the working world, choosing jobs that kept him outside under the open sky. Eventually, he found his true calling in home construction, a craft he loved and took great pride in.
A lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt), hunting, and fishing, Ole never missed a chance to cheer, cast a line, or spend a quiet morning in the woods. He was a man who understood the beauty in stillness and the power of a good story told at the end of the day.
He was the proud dad of Melissa, Rena, and Allen. Ole wasn’t the kind of dad who sat in the front row at school events or followed every tradition of fatherhood, but his love was never in question. He showed it in quieter ways: a shared laugh, time together on the boat, a bit of advice at just the right time, or simply being present in the way he knew how. His love wasn’t always loud, but it was always there.
On July 8, 2001, Ole met his soulmate, Sue Khalar, and they found love. Six years later, on June 23, 2007, they were married and began a new chapter together. Not long after, they found their slice of paradise on Pike Lake in Amery a “little cabin” that became their sanctuary for 14 unforgettable years. Whether they were hosting gatherings filled with laughter or taking evening “toodles” around the lake with their dogs, Lippie and Digger, Ole and Sue built a life grounded in love and simple pleasures.
When he and Sue married, Ole also became a dad to Jarl and Brady, a role he accepted with the same steady, no-frills kind of love he gave to everything else in life. He showed up in the way only he could with love, humor, and a deep sense of care.
To know Ole was to know someone who didn’t chase after riches or fame but instead put his faith in things that last such as honesty, hard work, loyalty, and love. He never asked for much, just a good day, a quiet moment, and the company of those he cared for most.
He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and lasting memories. Though he’s gone from our sight, we’ll carry him with us always.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Galen & Mildred Anderson, and his brother-in-law, John Haller. He is survived by his wife: Sue Anderson, Children: Melissa Anderson, Rena Anderson, Allen Anderson, Jarl (Mycki) Khalar, Brady (Brielle) Khalar. Grandchildren: Joe (Gianna) Nawrocki, Kelsie Nawrocki, Erin (Ryu) Serrano, Tiffany Hendrick, Sophie Hendrick, Blake Khalar and Brooke Khalar. Great-Grandchild: Koda Serrano. Sister: Jan Haller. Nephew: Tim Haller. Niece: Laurie Haller and Life-long friend: Bob Hanson. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends, all of whom were touched by his humor, love, and the simple, steady way he showed he cared.
