Fresno, California – Jennifer Lynn Wynveen, born December 6, 1968, was a lifelong resident of Fresno, California. She passed away peacefully at Kaiser Hospital in Fresno on June 16, 2025, at the age of 56.

Jennifer was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. She'll be remembered for her dedication to education, her kind spirit, her passion for people, friendships, talking, and her lifelong love of the Green Bay Packers, heavy metal music and the Backstreet Boys. For ten years, Jennifer served as a part-time professor in the Psychology department at Fresno State University, where she taught a class on disabilities, profoundly impacting countless students with her knowledge and uniquely personal perspective.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Wynveen.

Jennifer is survived by her loving mother, Nancy Decker; her brother, Chris Wynveen and his wife Misty; her niece, Hannah and her husband Michael, and her niece, Megan; and her great-nephews, Blake and Liam. Her vibrant personality and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at Woodward Park Baptist Church at 1801 E. Teague Avenue in Fresno, on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM PT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jennifer's memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
