Joan Marie Grizzle

Joan Marie Grizzle, age 60 of Ellsworth, WI passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.Joan was born the daughter of Ernest and Elaine (Walz) Huppert on June 27, 1954 in Red Wing, MN. She was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. On September 24, 1977 she married James “Griz” Grizzle. Joan worked for 28 years for The St. Paul Companies and was most recently employed by Brotoloc of Ellsworth.Joan was an amazing woman inside and out. Anyone who knew her, knew how big her heart was. She was a loving, warm, kind, caring, and giving woman. She was strong, and could lift you up when you were feeling down, you could count on her to be there for you. She meant the world to us and there is no one who could ever take her place, not even for a single day. She was a precious gift from god, as she showed a special kind of love, a love that took care of us all. Her laughter was so strong that in a midst of a storm she could make it calm. This was a woman who lived for her children and grandchildren. There is no doubt we meant the world to her, as she did to us. She will be truly missed and forever remembered.Joan is survived by her husband James “Griz” Grizzle, Ellsworth, WI.Four children: Ann (Trevor) Thompson, Wausau, WI; Jon Grizzle, Ellsworth, WI; Jamie (Ben Bergh) Grizzle, Ellsworth, WI; Jay (Amanda McIntyre) Grizzle, Ellsworth, WI.Seven grandchildren: Parker Grizzle; Landon, Coltyn, Reese and Gradyn Thompson; Coehn and Haylee Bergh.Mother, Elaine Huppert.Three brothers: Roger (Nancy) Walz; David (Tammie) Huppert; and Kevin (Tonya) Huppert.She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Huppert.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth, WI is serving the family.
