Joann E Pederson

Joann Pederson, age 88, of Mountain Home, Idaho, formerly of Spring Valley died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Idaho.
Visitation for Joann will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Pleasant Valley Township near Eleva, Wisconsin.


JoAnn Pederson, 88, of Mountain Home Idaho, previously of Spring Valley, WI passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 25th, 2014.

JoAnn was the daughter of Casper and Evelyn (Miller) Larson. She was born on July 2, 1925 in Eau Claire, WI and grew up in the Eau Claire and Spring Valley area with 4 sisters and 1 brother.  She married Marvin Pederson in Boston, Mass on October 10, 1944.

JoAnn and Marvin raised 5 children while they moved around to Spring Valley, Bloomington, MN, Eleva, California and settled in Spring Valley once again.


JoAnn Pederson, 88, of Mountain Home Idaho, previously of Spring Valley, WI passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 25th, 2014.

JoAnn was the daughter of Casper and Evelyn (Miller) Larson. She was born on July 2, 1925 in Eau Claire, WI and grew up in the Eau Claire and Spring Valley area with 4 sisters and 1 brother.  She married Marvin Pederson in Boston, Mass on October 10, 1944.

JoAnn and Marvin raised 5 children while they moved around to Spring Valley, Bloomington, MN, Eleva, California and settled in Spring Valley once again.

JoAnn was a very loving person with a gentle soul who loved coffee and conversation with her family and friends and listening to Gospel music. JoAnn enjoyed traveling in her and Marvin's motor home to visit family out West. Her other hobbies included canning, braiding rugs, making quilts, gardening, and reading the Bible. She enjoyed spending time with her children, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her father (Casper) and Mother, (Evelyn) Larson,  husband Marvin, sisters Idelle Gunvalson and Hollyce Falde, son Gary Pederson, and grandsons Brandon Pederson and Jesse Mittelstadt.

JoAnn is survived by her  2 sisters: Betty Bauch, (Calif.) Barbara Monson, (Spring Valley, WI) 1 brother, James (Kathleen) Larson, (Cottage Grove, MN), brother-in-law, Harvey Pederson, (Deer Park, WI), sister-in-law Vivian Thompson (Rock Falls WI), and 4 children: Ken (Helen) Pederson, (Mt. Home, ID) Gwen Pederson, (Mt. Home, ID) Kim (Terry) Knutson, (Ridgeland, WI) and Curtis (Belinda) Pederson, (Parma, ID), daughter-in-law Debbie Pederson, Oregon, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jesse Cockeram (Grandson); Jamy Lucking (Nephew); Tony Lucking (Nephew); Todd Peterson (Friend); Scott Wood (Friend); and Terry Wood (Friend).

Visitation was on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.  A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Pleasant Valley Township, Wisconsin.
