Jodi M. Eike

Jodi M. Eike, age 50 of Hudson, WI, passed away unexpectedly January 16, 2015 at her home.  Jodi was born August 22, 1964 in Cannon Falls, MN, the daughter of August Edward and JoAnne Carol (Emerson) Meyer.  She graduated from Plum City High School, the Class of 1983.  She furthered her education at Des Moines Area Community College and Iowa State University to earn a degree in nursing.  Jodi very much enjoyed the challenges and fun pace of being an ER nurse for St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN, and more recently at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.

Outside of her work, Jodi loved being surrounded by her family and friends, playing cards and board games.  She had a great sense of humor, which brought many smiles and laughter to others.  She was a devoted Minnesota Viking fan who took great pride cheering on her team.  Jodi had a gracious and loving heart, which was shown in her caring ways as a mother, sister and friend.  She had a special love for her pet Pomeranians, Roxy and Gizmo.  Jodi’s fun loving spirit will remain in the hearts of those that loved her.

Jodi is survived by her children; Amanda, Justin, and Lucas Eike; Daniel Lee, her significant other and best friend of 12 years; her siblings:  Debbie (Jeff) Gilles, Shelley (Darren) Bjugstad, Paula (Ron) Bates, Ronald Meyer, Richard Meyer and Angela (Mark) Wieser; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, August and JoAnne, and her pet Pomeranian, Jasmine.

A Visitation will be held 4-6 PM, with a 6 PM Funeral Service Wednesday, January 21 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with Pastor Kurt Larson officiating.  Private interment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
