Joyce Byrd

Joyce Anne Byrd, age 69, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Christian Community Home of Hudson, WI. Joyce was born on November 26, 1949 the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Taylor) McGlendon. She was united in marriage to Larry Leroy Byrd on May 1, 1965 in North Carolina; Joyce and Larry shared 54 years of devotion to each other until Larry’s passing in May 2019.

Joyce was proud to be a dedicated wife, mom and grandma; she enjoyed crocheting and crafting greeting cards in her free time, but she always found time to spend among family. Joyce enjoyed the simple things in life, especially strawberry ice cream! Joyce and Larry also loved animals; they cared for their lovable dog, JJ.

Joyce will remain in the hearts of her children, Cyndee (Tony) Fiorillo, and Larry (Elena) Byrd; grandchildren, Makayla and Gabrielle Fiorillo, as well as Evan and Maya Byrd; many other extended family and other relatives, and countless friends.
